Gloria Akinyi ailing mother before she died moved with her young Gloria to the street when she was no longer able to do her manual work of laundry for people to earn money and pay rent. Unfortunately, she died early this year leaving Gloria alone in the streets. Gloria found it difficult to survive in the streets. With infections on one of her eyes facing direct sunlight to navigate and look for food become difficult for her in the streets. She has also run away from several rape attempts. Vera was taken off the streets of Soweto, Kenya. Vera underwent physical abusive and hard child laboring work; she was carrying 80 liters (over 21 gallons) of water to earn a living after losing both of her parents. She ran away to the streets after developing back pain and the person who was staying with her still wanted her to ferry water 2km (1.24 mile) away to bring money so that they can buy food. Vera resorted to start a living in the streets but had so much pain from her back. She is now safe and undergoing therapy on her back. Our cook is the one doing her therapy. Elizabeth was taken off the streets of Soweto, Kenya. Elizabeth mother was born as a result of rape, she became outcast to her family and moved to live the rest of her life in the streets before she died. Unfortunately, the mother was also raped while in the streets and got pregnant of Elizabeth Awino. The young girl was not lucky to stay with her mom for long in the street. Ann was taken off the streets of Soweto Kenya. Ann lost both her parents. She started selling sweets in the streets to earn a living. She was not lucky when someone cheated her that he will buy all sweets and the money is in his house. She went and that evil man locked her up in the house doing all sorts of evil things with her. Ann later escaped from that house when that evil man had left briefly. The man took his life when he realized that Ann had escaped, and his evil secrets revealed. She lived in pain in the streets, with lots of rejects. Ann narrated that it reached a point she wanted to take her own life. Young Ann is now happy at the orphanage. She wants to be a soccer player. Ann love Christ as her personal savior. She has forgiven those who did evil to her in Soweto, Kenya. Her dream is to be a journalist someday. She was rescued 10/22/2022. Moi was taken off the streets of Soweto, Kenya.  After Moi lost both of his parents, he moved to the streets to start his survival. He could spend several days without meals since he was young and couldn't grab food from the garbage. He could be beaten and spend most of his time crying. Trevor was taken off the streets of Soweto, Kenya. Trevor was abused physically everyday by someone he trusted could protect him after he had lost his parents. He was also denied food and education that he longed for. He later decided to move to the street to save his life. Life become so hard for him in the streets. He was constantly sick of malaria and found it hard to adapt to street life. Trevor was hungry and sick by the time we were rescuing him. Trevor dream is to be a teacher and a soccer player. Elly was taken off the streets of Soweto, Kenya. Elly was living with his ailing aged grandpa before he passed away last year. His parents also died when he was just 2 years old. He moved to the streets to look for food and drinking water. He was constantly beaten by big boys in the streets. This caused Elly injuries and affected his movements. He could not move far distance to go and search for food in the garbage because of his swollen feet. Elly is happy at the orphanage and recovering. He will join soccer team once completely healed. He ran to street to save his life when the evil man even become wild threatening, he could kill him if he couldn't go and sell sweets in the streets and bring money for them to buy food. He was afraid because he could not sell enough to raise the money that the evil man wanted him to bring. He feared stealing too. He opted to run to the streets. He was wondering in the streets, crying and hungry. Fidel must have been thrown by unknown people that thought he was going to be a burden to them after he had lost his parents. Junior Ochieng was taken off the streets of Soweto, Kenya. Junior Ochieng survived several attempts of death from a person who was to be a caretaker/guardian and lived with him and give him food after he had lost both his parents. This person believed in witchcraft and if that when he killed Junior in cold blood with a knife, he would have a lot of money. Luckily, he escaped narrowly when the man was looking for a knife and he forgot to lock the doors. Junior Ochieng moved to the streets and he was so much traumatized with the incidence. He could not fight for food in the streets from the garbage and this affected his health by the time we were rescuing him, he was very sick. Junior is going through counseling, therapy and given milk to improve on his immunity. He wants to play volleyball when he feels better.  His dream is to be a teacher someday. Joan was taken off the streets of Soweto, Kenya. Joan was born in the street of Soweto slum with a street mother. She lived there with her mom who did not know her father because her mom once said before she passed away that she was drugged and raped and that how she may have convinced her pregnancy. Joan's mom died while still living in the streets with her last year December. We rescued Joan who was a target of rape. Joan also suffered hunger. Her right hand is still in pain that was hit by huge stick from unknown person to her while they were grabbing food in the street. She is recovering at the orphanage and hope to be a soccer player. Eunice was taken off the streets of Soweto, Kenya. Eunice lost her parents in the month of September of HIV. We found her wondering in the streets and struggling to grab food with the older kids from the garbage. She was still not used to street life, and she was struggling to sleep on the cold streets of Soweto. Eunice was seriously infected by jiggers on her fingers and feet. She was crying and in pain. Eunice is now rescued and able to take shower. We are applying jell to kill the jiggers on her fingers and toes. Soon she will be able to start sliding and swinging once she is completely healed. In the streets she was raped by unknown person who gave her food laced with a sleeping drug. She couldn't remember anything when she came back to her senses. Colleta is now safe at the orphanage. In the streets Camina was being assaulted, abused physically and emotionally as most people called her a daughter of the blind woman. She was so much stressed and told us she thought of taking her own life if we could have not rescued her. She is safe now at the orphanage. Her dream is to be a Veterinary doctor someday. Tabu was taken off the streets of Soweto, Kenya. Tabu was physically beaten to the point both of his eyes are damaged to almost blindness. GRADE: 3th Grade
Being rescued from the streets of Soweto, Kenya, Tracy was beaten and raped as a child.  She is 1 of 4 that escaped being burnt to death by their guardian. She was rescued January 12, 2022.
She wants to become a nurse when she grows up to help other orphans in the Fruit of God orphanage.

Being rescued from the streets of Soweto, Kenya, Joshua was rejected and beaten. Living in the streets with no clothes or shoes. He was rescued on January 12, 2022. He was taken to the store to get clothes to travel on the public bus to the orphanage where he will receive the care and education he needs.

GRADE: Never been to school yet
Being rescued from the streets of Soweto, Kenya on January 12, 2022, Vallery's story: Her parents had passed away and she was being raised by her grandmother that was ill. Vallery would dig through the mounds of trash to find scraps of food to sell to the pig farmer for .20 to care for her grandmother. when her grandmother passed, Vallery was forced to live in the streets with nothing and no one. She never had the opportunity to attend a school for any education until now. She also was taken to get clothes and shoes for the public bus ride to the orphanage, where she will receive the care and education she needs, in a safe environment.
